Young Toddlers: Rosh Hashanah

The Young Toddlers completed a two-week unit on Rosh Hashanah!

The Young Toddlers used finger paint to decorate a Shana Tova sign, which was hung in the classroom.

The Young Toddlers enjoyed literature related to Rosh Hashanah, including "Apples and Honey," "Happy Birthday, World!" "Apples," "Bees," "Fall Holidays," "Little Apple," "Apples For Everyone" and "Honey In A Hive."

During Circle Time, the Young Toddlers learned, read and sang about Rosh Hashanah, apples and honey! Each Young Toddler got to hold, touch and pass a real, green apple. The Young Toddlers learned that apples grow on apple trees, and when you slush an apple - it makes apple sauce! The Young Toddler teachers cut a green apple in half and showed the Young toddlers the stars and seeds inside.

During Art, the Young Toddlers continued to develop their fine motor skills with apple stickers... Which they stuck on a colorful picture of a tree to create an apple tree!
