Exploring the Jungle in the Young Toddler Classroom

Last week, the Young Toddlers participated in a week-long Jungle Unit!

Each morning, the Young Toddlers put on their safari vest and hat and explored the jungle! They enjoyed jungle animal table puzzles as well as jungle-related literature, including "From Head to Toe" by Eric Carle, "Good Night, Gorilla," by Peggy Rathmann and "Say Hello in the Jungle," by Ian Whybrow and Ed Eaves.

During Circle Time, the Young Toddlers learned all about jungle animals: where they live, the sounds they make, as well as their color, texture and diet!

During Art, the Young Toddlers created yellow lions, spotted giraffes and banana eating monkeys. They also created colorful monkeys, tigers and hippos using paper plates and glue and even decorated ceramic lions, elephants, monkeys and frogs using paint and brushes.

On Thursday, the Young Toddlers enjoyed a World Music Safari Adventure by Mystic Drumz!
