Family Unit and Parent Appreciation Breakfast

Last week, the students at Yal-Day-New Day Care Center, Inc. learned all about family!

The Young Toddlers enjoyed literature incuding "Where Is Baby's Mommy?" "Daddy and Me," "Papa Papa," "Mama Mama," "I Love You, Daddy," "I Love My Mommy Because..." "We Belong Together," "Ol' Mama Squirrel" and "No! I Want Daddy!" The Young Toddlers drew their families and decorated family coloring pages using dot paint, crayons, markers and stickers.

The Older Toddlers also drew their families and decorated family coloring pages. In addition, they discussed their families in more detail, including members of their family, their last names, where their family is from and the language(s) they speak at home.

The Preschoolers created very detailed family photos! They learned about grandparents, parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins!

Each student created gifts to present to their parents and/or caregivers at the Parent Appreciation Breakfast!

Take a look at the art work and gifts our students created!
