Pesach in the Preschool Classroom

The Preschool Classroom has begun a two-week unit on Passover.

Today, the Preschoolers created art depicting Pharaoh and the Jewish people in the land of Egypt…

Their artwork reads:

“The Jewish People in the Land of Egypt: Long ago, a mean king ruled of Egypt. He was called Pharaoh. The Jewish people who lived in Egypt were slaves. They had to work very hard building cities for Pharaoh.”

Preschool teacher, Mrs. Mally, created a three-dimensional representation of Moses parting the Red Sea to use with the Preschoolers during Circle Time as she continues to teach them about Passover over the next two weeks. Mrs. Mally also created Origami jumping frogs, which she plans to use in the next two weeks to teach the Preschoolers about the plagues of Egypt; frogs were the second plague of Egypt.

In the upcoming days, the Preschoolers will create small baskets out of foam to hold a baby Moses cutout!
