On Thursday, March 27, the Preschool class participated in a “Model Matzah Bakery” at Young Israel of Brookline.
Following a review of the Passover story and learning the special meaning behind baking Matzah, students ground wheat, mixed flour and water and created dough! Each preschooler wore a “Matzah Baker’s Hat” while kneading their own piece of dough and watching it rise in the oven.
Each preschool student took home the matzah they baked in an authentic, handmade shmurah matzah they decorated!
