Preschool: Rosh Hashanah

This week, the Preschools learned about Rosh Hashanah!

During Circle Time, the Preschoolers learned about Rosh Hashanah, apples, bees, honey and shofars! The Preschoolers practiced letter and word recognition. Ms. Marceline cut open an apple to show the Preschoolers the apple seeds inside that grow into apple trees!

The Preschools decorated Rosh Hashanah coloring pages using dot paint.

And created apples using glue sticks and red construction paper!

Some student chose to paint their own Rosh Hashanah apples!

They blew their own shofars! Shana Tova!

The Preschoolers used green paint, paint brushes and their hands to create apple trees; paint and sponges to decorate apples; and painted apples by rolling  around real green apples covered in paint in a large container!

The Preschoolers created apples using their handprints! And learned and labeled the five parts of an apple: stem, leaf, seeds, flesh and skin!

Painting shofars!

Creating hives for their honey bees!

...and honey jars for their honey!
