Neighborhood Walks and Checklists

The Young Toddlers and Older Toddlers love going for Neighborhood Walks!

As we walk, we "I Spy!" We spy cars, trucks, planes, cats, dogs, flowers, trees and so much more!

When we return from our walks, we sit down and look over our Neighborhood Checklist. We discuss what we heard and saw!

Backyard Magnet Board

With a recycled outdoor sign, zip-ties and some magnet paint, we were able to create an outdoor magnet board for our students!

We brought out our magnet Hebrew letters for our students to play with!

Infants: Scribbling and Exploring!

Take a look at our infants practicing their scribbles and exploring everything the backyard has to offer!

Preschool: Number and English/Hebrew Letters of the Week

The Preschool students are learning their numbers and letters!

Each Monday, as a class, the Preschool students choose a number as well as two letters: one from English Alphabet and one from the Hebrew Alef-bet. The students learn the concept and practice writing this number and the letters for one week.

Each Thursday, the Preschool teachers invite and encourage students to bring in an object from home that begins with the letter of the week!

This past week, the number of the week was 11 and the letters of the week were the English letter Oo and the Hebrew letter Hei (ה).

Look at all their hard work!

Opposites: Older Toddlers

Last week, the Older Toddlers learned all about Opposites, including big/small, empty/full, happy/sad, open/closed, black/white, short/long, hot/cold, hard/soft, etc.

Each day, the Older Toddlers created art work that helped them visually grasp the concept of Opposite.

Take a look!
